The Word declares that we should meet together and all the more so as we see the day approaching. The day is fast approaching. Jesus is coming and He has given His people a safe haven called the church until He returns. It is a place to grow, receive, give, and serve. In America, we are so blessed to be able to freely go to church, whereas others risk their lives to go, we just have to roll out of bed and make the time to go. Going to church is a real battle for some, but it is a battle worth fighting, a battle if you choose to fight for it that could help you stay on the narrow road. I know you are busy and your time is valuable, but going to a Bible-believing church is a worthy investment of your time. We make time for what is important to us.

I UNDERSTAND THE STRUGGLE:

When I was younger I was the type of teenager who would do anything to sleep in on Sunday mornings and skip church. I would pretend I was sick or make up excuses of why I should not have to go. Thank God I had a mother who saw through all of my nonsense and MADE me go to church. I may have not understood the importance of going to church then, but I do now.

I FOUND THE VALUE:

God tugs at my heart the most when I have separated myself from the noise of the world, and the church is a place I have found where I can do that.
There have been many times where going to the House of God has brought my faith back to life. Often times I have needed spiritual CPR and the church has been the one to revive me by their willingness to show God’s love. The Word that goes forth in services keeps my faith charged and makes me challenge myself to grow in the Lord. When I want to give up, the church helps me to keep going.

It is my church family who encourages me and lifts me up in prayer. They hold me accountable and are truly a blessing. There is a reason God wants us in church. He is building up and edifying His people. He has sent fellow believers to help one another, not hurt one another. The church is meant to be a blessing, not a curse. Going to church helps me to see that there are other believers in the world fighting for their faith just like I am. Church motivates me to do God’s work and seek Him first. I go to church because I found there is value in going. It is not a waste of time and I don’t have better things to do, going to church is a priority.

Micah 4:1 In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

I hope you find the value in going to church like I have. Church has changed my life for the better. Remember, the church is not about the building or entertainment, it’s about the body of Christ coming together to edify one another. Will you be a part of that?

Blessings,
Mandy
