Do you remember that line from the movie Forrest Gump-“Life is like a box of chocolates. Ya never know whatcha gonna get.” Well, that may be true for the unbeliever but for the Believer, we know what we will get.

The Believer does not have to go through life aimlessly wondering, and thinking-“well, if it’s not one thing it’s another.” No, we have a manual packed with promises and direction for how to think, where we are going and what to expect.

If you’re needing provision for a certain area of your life, then there is Matthew 6:33- But seek first the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” If you don’t have an earthly Father and you yearn for the direction and wisdom of a father, Psalms 68:5 says that He will be a Father to the Fatherless.” When others have rejected you or abandoned you, and you have fear- Deuteronomy 31:6 says “Be determined and Confident. Do not be afraid of them. your God, the Lord himself, will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.”

If we get acquainted with God’s word. If we will meditate upon it and allow it to plant seeds in our soul, we will see a harvest of answers. As believers, we know what we are going to get in life because we have His word to tell us. We may not know exactly how God is going to do it, but we do know that His word does not fail and we can see the results. God’s Word is the Box of chocolates in the fact that it’s filled with so many sweet promises for every need in our lives. Just like taking the lid off of the box of chocolates and smelling it’s sweet aroma, that is how we are once we get God’s word in us. We will exude with the aroma of His sweetness.

I encourage you today to read God’s Word for your answers and be God’s Box of chocolates everywhere you go.

In Her Own Words: I am an optimist to the extreme. I wouldn’t only say that the glass is half full but I would add that I’m thankful for the glass and I’m thankful for the liquid that’s in the glass. My God has brought me through so much. I was married to an abusive husband at age 17, divorced at 19 with a one year old son. I moved 800 miles away from all of my family with my son to keep us safe. I married the man of my dreams at age 24. We have 3 children together and have been married almost 18 years. After being married with 3 wonderful kiddos, I went back to school while working a full time job to accomplish my goal to become an LPTA. I have served in my church as a greeter and in the nursery with the babies under a yr old. I currently serve on the prayer team. My greatest passion is writing. My writing mostly revolves around lessons learned via the Holy Spirit. Life is so full of opportunity and adventure and writing is my outlet. My desire is that my writing will help others grow in their relationship with God and with their fellow man.
